Can I ship my freight on a regularly scheduled passenger aircraft?
Yes, but only if you are a “Known Shipper” and with certain cargo restrictions.
What is a “Known Shipper”?
A known shipper is an individual or entity wishing to tender their own goods on a
passenger aircraft that has gone through an approval process mandated by the TSA.
What Items cannot be shipped on a passenger aircraft?
• Shipments likely to damage the aircraft or other shipments.
• Live, warm-blooded animals.
• Poisonous or venomous cold-blooded animals.
• Money or currency of any kind.
• Precious metals or jewelry (other than costume jewelry).
• Hazardous materials.
• Firearms
• Perishable shipments
• Shipments not suitable for transportation.
Will my shipment be inspected or screened?
YES. All cargo being tendered for shipment by air must be screened. Our shipping documents have language that includes consent by the shipper for inspection.
What if I don’t want my shipment to be inspected?
If your freight cannot be inspected, it will not be allowed to be transported by air.
Can I drop my shipment off at your office?
No. All air cargo shipments must be picked up at your known shipper location, secured in our vehicle(s) and then tendered directly to the air cargo terminal. Air cargo shipments not being tendered directly to the air cargo terminal are to be secured at our facility until scheduled for transport
How do I pay for my shipment if I don’t have an account with you?
TLCarrier, Inc accepts Company Checks, Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX for payment of shipping charges. We highly recommend that you establish an account with TLCarrier, Inc for shipping. This account creates an ongoing business history between Shipper and Carrier.
